Bronze Alloys
NOBILUS investment casts hardware in two different bronze alloys:

Nickel & Silicon

Each alloy has a unique base color determined by specified amounts of mixed metals to create the desired alloy. The bronze alloy ingots are melted in crucibles and poured into molds to cast each piece of unique hardware.

Once a product is cast, we patina or burnish it to the specified finish color. Products with burnished natural finishes will age over time and will develop a rich hue as a result of the natural oxidation process. Patina finishes will develop wear highlights with use and exposure.

Each piece of bronze will change according to different environments. Aging and highlighting are desirable characteristics of bronze and part of the unique living finish.

Bronze Finishes
Each of our bronze alloys are available in our standard hand-rubbed oil patina or burnished finishes. These are living finishes that age, becoming richer and more beautiful over time. These choices satisfy a wide variety of hardware preferences.
Each piece of our bronze is created and finished by hand; therefore, each piece is a unique work of art. The subtle variations that result are inherent in the natural beauty of the product.
